Financial Risk Manager

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Risk & Compliance, the role will support and lead key risk management activities across capital, liquidity, interest rate risk and credit risk. The position plays a central role in regulatory compliance, strategic risk frameworks, and the ongoing strengthening of the Bank’s risk appetite, forecasting, and governance processes.

Duties and Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

  • Support IRRBB and liquidity management.
  • Monitor risk appetite limits. 
  • Provide assistance in the compilation of the Bank’s capital and liquidity forecasting.
  • Lead the compilation of the Bank’s forecasts, including capital and liquidity forecasting. 
  • Support in the management of Fund Transfer Pricing (FTP).
  • Lead the compilation of the Risk Appetite, Business Model & Strategy document, ICAAP, ILAAP and Recovery Plan
  • Participation in capital allocation activities, management of Net Interest Income of the bank.
  • Follow up and resolution of recommendations from Risk, Internal Audit, External Audit and Regulators.
  • Implementation of new guidelines and regulations 
  • Develop, review, and challenge credit proposals, ensuring alignment with risk appetite and regulatory expectations
  • Implement risk assessments of corporate credit memos 
  • Conduct periodic portfolio reviews to identify emerging risks, sectoral trends, and concentration issues
  • Collaborate with the credit function to ensure robust credit risk controls and reporting
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of credit risk policies, procedures, and frameworks
  • Any other duties as may be determined from time to time by the Head of Risk & Compliance. 

Skills and Requirements

  • A relevant degree (or equivalent experience) in Financial Services, Business Administration or Finance.
  • Above 6 years of relevant experience in Financial Services.
  • Familiarity or affinity with banking regulation and key documents: CRR/CRD, IRRBB guidelines, ICAAP and ILAAP.  
  • Familiarity with IFRS accounting in a context of a bank would be considered a plus, especially with hedge accounting provisions.
  • Strong, excel and report writing capabilities are essential.
  • Spoken and written English professional proficiency is considered a must.
