ICT Applications Management Intern

The Role

The Applications Management Intern is responsible for assisting in installations, parametrisation, troubleshooting, testing and providing support on the Bank’s applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the timely resolution of JIRA tickets as reported by end-users and reporting incident related to security (e.g. malware infections, phishing attempts, unauthorised access, or data breaches), including escalations to the appropriate security team for further investigation and resolution;
  • Assists the ICT team in the testing and deployment of new applications, upgrades and bug fixing,
  • Assist in the Joiners, Movers and Leavers procedures;
  • Assist in the parameterisation of varies applications;
  • Assist in the ICT checklists.
  • Identify recurring application issues and escalate when required;
  • Provide end-user support and training;
  • Prioritise and manage simultaneous open cases;
  • Document new procedures, guidelines, and best practices for end-users, ICT staff and other stakeholders including security aspects;
  • Undergo staff training as required by the Bank, including security awareness training focused on security best practices and protecting sensitive data and ICT assets;
  • Any other tasks as may from time to time be required by the Bank.

Skills and Requirements

  • Diploma or certifications in ICT;
  • Have a strong command of the English language;
  • Communicate effectively, to gather appropriate information regarding reported issues;
  • Good trouble shooting, capable of analysing a problem and finding a long-term working solution;
  • Excellent time management, task planning and prioritising;
  • Basic knowledge of SQL would be considered an asset;
  • Have strong analytical skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • A great team-player.
